1.Acceptance & changes

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are legally able to agree to these terms and that you accept them in full. We may update the Service, these terms, or the Privacy Policy at any time and without individual notice; the version published here governs your use, and continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms. 2.Permitted use

The Service is offered for personal, non-commercial, lawful exploration and learning. You agree not to:

• use the Service in any way that breaks applicable law or infringes the rights of others;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure, or circumvent rate limits or security measures;
• scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content except as expressly permitted, or in a manner that places an unreasonable load on the Service;
• misrepresent the content as authoritative, professional, or human-authored, or remove notices indicating it is machine-generated.

We may suspend, restrict, or withdraw access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice or liability.

3.Nature of the content — not advice

Content is machine-generated and may contain errors, fabricated details, omissions, or statements that were once true but no longer are. It is not professional advice of any kind. In particular, nothing in the Service constitutes medical, legal, financial, tax, safety, psychological, engineering, or other professional advice, and it must not be used as a substitute for consultation with a qualified professional.

You are solely responsible for how you use, interpret, or act on the content, and you should independently verify anything important before relying on it. The Service may also reference or describe third-party people, works, organizations, or websites for informational purposes; we do not control and are not responsible for any third-party material or external sites.

4.Disclaimer of warranties (“as is”)

The Service and all content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties or conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be accurate, reliable, complete, current, secure, uninterrupted, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected. Any material obtained through the Service is used at your own discretion and risk.

5.Limitation of liability

The names of people, works, and concepts described are the property of their respective owners and are referenced for informational purposes only. Machine-generated descriptions are provided for personal, educational use; we make no representation that any given passage is original, accurate, or free of third-party rights. If you believe content infringes your rights, contact us (see §10) and we will review it in good faith.

8.Privacy Policy

We aim to collect as little as possible and to keep the Service privacy-light. We do not require an account, and we do not use cookies, advertising networks, third-party analytics SDKs, cross-site trackers, or sell or share personal data with third parties for their own marketing.

What is stored on your device

• Theme preference (km-theme) — remembers light/dark choice.
• A random visitor identifier (km_vid, in your browser's local storage) and a random session identifier (km_sid, cleared when you close the tab). These are random strings, not linked to your name, email, or any account, and let us estimate unique visitors and how far people explore.

You can clear these at any time via your browser's site-data controls; the Service still works without them.

What is sent to the server

• Anonymous usage events — for example that an idea was opened or viewed and how deep an explanation was expanded, tagged with the random visitor and session identifiers above. We use these in aggregate to understand what is useful and to improve the Service.
• Search terms that returned no results — when a search finds no matching idea, we record the words you searched for (not searches that do match), so we can see which topics the map is missing and add them. Please avoid typing personal or sensitive information into the search box.
• Standard request data your browser sends with every web request (such as your IP address and user-agent). We do not store your raw IP address in our analytics; it is converted into a salted, one-way hash used only to protect the Service (for example rate-limiting and abuse prevention) and to roughly de-duplicate counts. Server operational logs may briefly contain such data for security and reliability.

Why we process it, and for how long

We process this limited data to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Service. Aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics may be retained indefinitely; raw event logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed for these purposes and then rotated or deleted.

Your choices

• Clear site data in your browser to remove the identifiers described above.
• Use private/incognito browsing, or a tracker-blocking browser or extension, to block the background analytics request.
• Contact us (see §10) with any privacy question or request regarding your data; we will respond in good faith and as required by applicable law.

Children

The Service is not directed to children where a minimum age or verifiable parental consent would be legally required, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from such children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9.General

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect, and the unenforceable provision will be applied to the maximum extent permitted. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, to the extent permitted by applicable law. These terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
